Concerto Competition
Members of the Greater North Texas Youth Orchestra were given the opportunity to compete for a solo spot with the GNTYO Young Artist orchestra. Performance dates for the 2026:
1. Concerto Competition - January 19th 2026, 6:30 PM.
2. Concerto competition winners concert - March 1st 2026.
General Rules
1. Eligibility to compete is subject to Directors approval. Students eligibility is contingent on whether student has a good attendance and has been a productive member during rehearsals and performances.
2. Competition is for Young Artist students only.
3. Students must provide their own accompanist.
4. Repertoire submitted by student is subject for approval. Repertoire that are rentals that require a long wait from the publisher may not be approved.
5. Past winners may compete twice during alternate years.
6. Past winnes that are currently seniors may compete again.
