APPLICATION PROCESS 

1. Fill out application form.     2. Submit audition fee of $35.
3. GNTYO will send you notification and information together with the excerpt packets.
​4. Submit your video audition by the deadline. (VIDEO SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS) 
APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT THE AUDITION FEE.

(Maximum grade 12th grade. Although there is no age minimum this ensemble is 100% skilled based. If student has the ability to perform at a high level performing major concertos, and major orchestral works, this will be a good fit)
The Young Artist Orchestra is suitable for High School Students who have been selected to the All State and Top Tier region orchestras
Rehearsals: 3:30 - 6:30 Sunday afternoons

  1. Scales: Three scales of your choice that demonstrates your strengths.
  • 2 three octave scales
  • 1 two octave chromatic scales
  1. Solo piece of your choice
  2. Excerpts. 
  • GNTYO prescribed excerpt packet. 

WOOD WINDS
  1. Scales: Three scales of your choice that demonstrates your strengths.
  • 2 major scales that demonstrates your full range. 
  • 1 two octave chromatic scales
  1. Solo piece of your choice. 
  2. Excerpts.

​CHAMBER MUSIC PROGRAM

The chamber music is a program for students learning to discover the true meaning of comradery, responsibility and accountability and music making in a more intimate and personal way. With the guidance of world class instructors, this program  is a combination of students organizing their own rehearsals and having coaching sessions with their assigned coach leading up to their recital at the end of the semester. 
Recitals will take place in assisted living homes and some public venues in McKinney and Frisco. 

The chamber music program is only available for Young Artist and Symphony Orchestras only.
